I’m sure you’re all tired of hearing about the oil spill…so am I…but this will be short. There are a few key points regarding the oil spill that are largely neglected by the oligarchy of media outlets:

1. There is more than one leak. some say two. some say three.

2. Methane gas levels are insanely high. CNN admits to bubbles of methane. Drudge Report says extinction level methane.

3. Evacuations are in place for the Gulf in case of tropical storms or hurricanes. some say it’s due to the gas. either way, 46 warships and 7,000 troops were just sent to Costa Rica to bust some drug dealers. #overkill #imjustsayin

This is video that was somehow smuggled by the folks over at CulturesOfResistance who were onboard the Mavi Marmara ship. If you have no clue what this whole fiasco is about then you should slap yourself and step up your world news game. If you do know what i’m referring to, then you understand that this smuggled footage is the first to be released from an independent source. There was a short 30sec clip released by the Israeli military that showed a soldier being thrown off of the Mavi Marmara ship by its civilian passengers.

The Israeli military killed 9 people aboard the ship (one guy even got shot 4 times in the head), confiscated ALL camera equipment and media recording devices, and arrested over 700 people. Somehow these folks managed to smuggle their footage through.

Things to look for:

1) blood on the ship before the Israeli helicopters dropped off soldiers (footage aired on CNN, Fox, etc)

2) every other person has a camera or a camcorder

3) the people on the ship had no guns

4) the old white guy holds a pamphlet, snatched from an israeli soldier, that shows predetermined targets of the military raid

5) what would you do if you were on the ship?

President Obama & Jay Leno speak. Obama cracks jokes on himself and every politician who has been involved in a scandal since his presidency. Some below the belt…a couple drew crickets. Jay Leno was Jay Leno.

Interesting story broke over the weekend. FEMA, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, removed its NLE 2010 draft from their website and requested that all media circuits refrain from reporting on the document. Hmm…why?

Well one, you should know what the NLE is. According to the FEMA website the NLE ’10, short for National Level Exercise, is designated as a Tier I National Level Exercise. Tier I exercises (formerly known as the Top Officials exercise series or TOPOFF) are conducted annually in accordance with the National Exercise Program (NEP), which serves as the nation’s overarching exercise program for planning, organizing, conducting and evaluating national level exercises. The NEP was established to provide the U.S. government, at all levels, exercise opportunities to prepare for catastrophic crises ranging from terrorism to natural disasters.

So, now that you know what it is, it may be of interest to you that this year’s NLE (originally planned and published in fall 2009 as scheduled) is centered around the detonation of a nuclear explosive in a major US city. However, recent political pressure has led to the exercise being “scaled back” according to the Washington Post,Christian Science Monitor and a variety of other publications.  At the behest of Senator Harry Reid (D-NV), the exercise’s Nevada events have reportedly been canceled and the FEMA website now shows no mention of NLE 10.

On top of this, the Obama administration has recently been emphasizing the threat of a domestic nuclear attack. President Obama’s remarks at the Nuclear Security Summit on April 13, 2010 emphasize that the threat of terrorists using nuclear weapons inside of major metropolitan cities is one of the “greatest threats” that the world faces.

The exercise was planned to account for “hundreds of thousands” of casualties and over a million displaced people. That’s a major fire drill if you ask me. You be the judge.

The significance of a bow: 1. bending the head or body or knee as a sign of reverence or submission or shame or greeting 2. bend the head or the upper part of the body in a gesture of respect

Once again, the news circuits are buzzing with video of President Obama bowing to the Chinese leader Hu Jintao. This isn’t the first time Obama has bowed to a foreign leader. If you recall, there were outcries from US nationalists when he bowed to the Saudi king…and then again when he bowed to the emperor of Japan. Is bowing really that bad? I think it’s more of a show of respect…IF that is how peers normally greet the respective individual. Since Obama is a peer to these foreign leaders, he should act accordingly.

I, however, don’t agree with him bowing if bowing is something only done to show subservience in the particular culture. Do your homework, Mr. President.

According to Wikipedia, “birthers” question the legitimacy of Pres. Barack Obama’s citizenship and his eligibility to be President. Some allege that Obama was born inKenya, not Hawaii, and that his birth certificate is a forgery. Others allege that Obama is a citizen of Indonesia. Both claim that he is not a natural born citizen of the United States, which is a requirement to be President of the United States under Article Two of the United States Constitution.

It doesn’t help at all that Obama’s first executive order as president was to seal all his past records. Now people have a million and one questions with no answers. These are essentially the main inquiries presented by “birthers”:

In regards to his former name, Barry Soetoro…Obama was named that by his step-father in order to attend public school in Indonesia. According to the Washington Post, the president’s mother moved him to the country from Hawaii after marrying Obama’s Indonesian stepfather, Lolo Soetoro, the father of Obama’s half-sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng.
