I actually don’t believe in aliens or anything of that sort. I believe God made humans and humans made things like Bigfoot, Loch Ness Monster, and Rosa Delauro.
So with that being said, I found this video quite interesting. It shows a bunch of aircraft flying at high speeds through the sky in the middle of the night. Apparently, the main guy in the video has been studying and tracking the US Air Force’s use of UFO-like planes/saucers for a while now.
“We’re seeing the most detailed images of the moon’s surface ever captured from afar — thanks to NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, or LRO. The space probe carries a super-powerful camera, which photographs every bit of the moon’s surface for scientists to examine. Only one problem: The LRO is doing such a good job that the scientists can’t keep up.”
So this is where you can come in and join the NASA team in exploring the moon’s surface. We all have random free time where we search the web for a boredom fix. Why not do something worthwhile…and maybe even throw it on your resume. I’m pretty sure the person interviewing you has not explored the moon’s surface. Guarantee it.
Oxford astrophysicist Chris Lintott is asking amateur astronomers (you and me) to help review, measure and classify tens of thousands of moon photos streaming to Earth. He set up the website MoonZoo.org, where anyone can log on, get trained and become a space explorer.
Smart dust. It’s incredible but it could also be extremely intrusive when you talk about the particles monitoring humans and human activity. Lots of good and lots of more bad here.
The Good: Small, amazing camera (5mp or 8mp) niche market (young, social-network-crazy teens), kin spot, easy to use
The Bad: Touchscreen seems choppy, Verizon only, should have more memory for this kind of phone (only 4gb or 8gb), if you’re not a twitterholic or faceboook fiend it’s impossible to enjoy using this phone
The Ugly: NO APPS! How??? In this day and age you can’t possibly compete without apps.
It looks nice. Probably works great. But there is no room for the iPad in my daily routine. I have a smartphone, a laptop, a tv, and a car. Between those 4 I think i’m all machined-out. I thought about it and I think I have everything covered pretty well.
Calls: cellphone, laptop (skype)
Emails: cellphone, laptop
Web: cellphone, laptop
TV shows: tv, laptop
Movies: tv, laptop
Pictures: cellphone, laptop
Books: laptop, hands
I just dont see the need for an iPad. I guess it would make for a good library companion if you have a heavy laptop or if you just dont want to carry anything with you to the library/coffeeshop (but you can do that with your laptop).
Now maybe we could talk if they made an iWallet that could start my car, pay for my McDonalds, and flash my id at the bar….hmm
